Kaliningrad Region’s government says to ship banned goods by sea

KALININGRAD, Jun 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Kaliningrad Region will deliver by sea sanctioned goods that have been banned for transit through Lithuania, spokesman for the regional government Dmitry Lyskov told PRIME on Monday.

“Everything in the sanctions list has been banned. We will redistribute the logistics chains for these goods using ferries and deliveries by the sea,” he said.

Earlier in June, the Lithuanian railways have notified Kaliningrad railways of termination of transit of some goods, sanctioned by the E.U., since June 18. The transit of oil products to the Kaliningrad Region will continue until August 10.
